Introduction to Basic Search

“Basic Search” is a general high level search option that performs a partial match search for a string entered by the user across all the data for all “Things” under the selected “Entity”. Any Thing which contains the string entered exactly as entered or partially, anywhere within the data would be returned in the “Search Results”. It is not as refined and granular as “Advanced Search” and is best used for general search purposes using text strings.
